My Ph.D. is in Human Dimension of Natural Resources. Hence the “do you want fries with that.” I call myself an environmental educator. I have over ten years experience as an science and environmental educator at the local, state and national level leading and supervising teachers in train the trainer style workshops in Issue Investigation and Earth Systems Education. I have taught college level courses in environmental education, communication and interpretation. I have coordinated education, outreach and training on a 12.5 million dollar NSF grant and held the position of Director of Education and Outreach at a non-profit. I also have extensive experience in community outreach, marketing, as well as event planning. Currently, I am the Director of Household Affairs (a.k.a. Mommy) of Rancho de los Gatos. I also do some consulting on the side.
I spend my off time going to see live music, walking my dog, hiking, and taking day trips with my husband. I also plan to resume skiing, cycling, and kayaking.
I am happily married with an enchanting daughter, a newborn son, a dog named Kona, and a cat named Boo Radley. I currently live in Alexandria, VA.
